on the journey

We’re a small church community called The Journey. We’re a house church because, well, we meet in a house. We’re not fancy, we’re not big, but we are real. As real as we know how to be. And we are striving to figure out what it looks like to live with God and to live with His people. 

We’ve found over the years that, as we take this spiritual journey, we deeply need each other. Sometimes the best way to find God, or get to know Him better, is together. God made us that way. Traveling together is not always simple. We’re all so complicated – so messy. But we’ve committed ourselves to relationship because we need it. We want to learn to be in meaningful, honest relationships with each other and we ’re learning to build constructive, beneficial relationships with the rest of the world. We’re convinced that both of these are essential to a real relationship with God.       

So here we are, on the journey. Walking together.  It’s not mapped out, so we don’t know exactly how we will accomplish it, but we’re enjoying the trip.
